Exposition Marketing Intern
Location: Fairfax, VA (Hybrid) or Remote
Pay: $20.00/hr
Duration: May - August 2025
Travel Required: Attendance at InfoComm in Orlando, FL (June 10-13)
Reports To: Sr. Director, Exposition Marketing

What You'll Do
As an Exposition Marketing Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience in event marketing, digital engagement, and content creation. You'll be part of a collaborative team, helping to enhance the event's visibility and attendee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Live Event Social Media Coverage
Attend the event and provide real-time updates across social media platforms.
Capture engaging content, including photos, videos, and live posts.
Interact with attendees online and respond to comments to build an active digital community.
Website Development & Maintenance
Assist in updating and maintaining the event website.
Test site functionality and ensure an optimal user experience on all devices.
Photo Organization & Management
Sort and categorize event photos based on audience personas and other key criteria.
Exhibitor Resource Center Enhancement
Improve the user experience of the exhibitor resource center by gathering feedback and implementing strategic updates.
Graphic Design Collaboration
Work with the design team to create marketing graphics for social media, registration pages, event apps, and more.
Social Media & Influencer Research
Support the social media team by identifying user-generated content and researching potential brand ambassadors.
Exhibitor Communications
Assist in drafting and sending email updates to exhibitors, providing important event details and sponsorship opportunities.
Market Research & Analysis
Conduct research on competitive events and potential partnership opportunities.
What We're Looking For
Education:
Currently pursuing a 4-year degree in marketing, events, communications, or a related field.
Experience Level:
Entry-level (No prior professional experience required, but a passion for events and marketing is a plus!)
